Hadith Sharif: Reciting Lots of Durood on Friday!

786 92
Salam Alaykum,

Aaqa Jee {SalAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam} said; (interpretation of the
meaning),

Invoke many blessings on Me on Friday for it is witnessed. The
angels are present on it, and no one will invoke a blessing on Me without his
blessing being submitted to Me till he stops.

I asked whether that applied also after His death, and He
{SalAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam} replied (interpretation of the meaning),

Allah has prohibited the Earth from consuming the bodies of the
Prophets; so
Allah's Prophet is alive and given provision.

{Al-Tirmidhi Sharif, Hadith No. 1366, also transmitted by Ibn Majah
Sharif}

The Wolves within Ourselves!

An old Grandfather, whose grandson came to him with anger at a schoolmate who had done him an injustice, said, "Let me tell you a story. I too, at times, have felt a great 'hate' for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do. But hate wears you down, and does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times."

He continued, "It is as if there are two wolves inside me; one is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way."

"But the other wolf, ah! He is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my soul."

The boy looked intently into his Grandfather's eye and asked, "Which one wins, Grandfather?"

The Grandfather solemnly said, "The one I feed."

Reminder: Optional FASTs {Shawaal, Monday, Thursday, 13, 14, 15th of every Islamic Month}

Salam-un-Alykum ya Rijaalun, wanNisaa :)

Whoever observes the Ramadan fast and follows it with six days of fast in Shawwal, it is as if he has fasted the whole year.

{Abu Ayyub Ansari [Radhi Allahu Anhu] Sahih Bukhari}

The one who fast the month of Ramadan and then 6 days of Shawwal, is as purified of sins as he was born just today.

{Muslim, Abu Da'ud}

Hayat-un-Nabi {SalAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam} ordered us to fast for three days of every Islamic month i.e. on the days of the full moon (the 13th, 14th, and 15th). And he said: It is like fasting the whole year.

{Abu Zharr al-Ghafari, Nasaai}

Sahib-il-Waseela {SalAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam} used to fast on Monday and Thursday. On being asked about it, He stated like this; Deeds are presented on every Monday and Thursday. Allah forgives every Muslim or every believer, except for those who are forsaking each other.

{Abu Hurayrah, Ahmad}

Whoever died and he ought to have fasted (the missed days of Ramadan) then his guardians must fast on his behalf.

{Mother of believers 'Aisha [Radhi Allahu Anhu], Bukhari Shareef}

Bag of Potatoes

A kindergarten teacher has decided to let her class play game. The teacher told each child in the class to bring along a plastic bag containing a few potatoes. Each potato will be given a name of a person that the child hates, so the number of potatoes that a child will put in his/her plastic bag will depend on the number of people he/she hates.

So when the day came, every child brought some potatoes with the name of the people he/she hated. Some had 2 potatoes; some 3 while some up to 5 potatoes. The teacher then told the children to carry with them the potatoes in the plastic bag wherever they go (even to the toilet) for 1 week.

Days after days passed by, and the children started to complain due to the unpleasant smell let out by the rotten potatoes. Besides, those having 5 potatoes also had to carry heavier bags. After 1 week, the children were relieved because the game had finally ended.

The teacher asked: "How did you feel while carrying the potatoes with you for 1 week?"

The children let out their frustrations and started complaining of the trouble that they had to go through having to carry the heavy and smelly potatoes wherever they go.

Then the teacher told them the hidden meaning behind the game. The teacher said: "This is exactly the situation when you carry your hatred for somebody inside your heart. The stench of hatred will contaminate your heart and you will carry it with you wherever you go. If you cannot tolerate the smell of rotten potatoes for just 1 week, can you imagine what is it like to have the stench of hatred in your heart for your lifetime?"

Moral of the story:

Throw away any hatred for anyone from your heart so that you will not carry sins for a lifetime.

Forgiving others is the best attitude to take! Love others even if you don't like them........ and if you want to see a better world. May Allah guide you, Ameen, inshaAllah.

The Story about a Mother!

The Story: color="#333333" face="Verdana" size="1">

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner
and a movie. She said I love you but I know this other woman loves you more than
me and you should spend some time with her.

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was My MOTHER, who has been a widow
for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible
to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie. "What's wrong,
are you well," she asked? My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late
night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news.

"I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you," I responded,

"Just the two of us." She thought about it for a moment, and color="#333333" face="Verdana" size="1"> then said, "I would like that very much."

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When
I arrived at her house, I noticed t hat she, too, seemed to be nervous about our
date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had curled her hair and was wearing
the dress that she had

worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary. She smiled from a face that was
as radiant as an angel's.

I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were very impressed,
"she said, as she got into the car.
size="1"> They can't
wait to hear about our meeting".
size="1">

We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother
took my arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the
menu. Large print. Half way through the entries,

I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was
on her lips.
It was I who face="Verdana" size="1">
used to have to read the menu when you were small," she said. "Then it's time that
you relax and let me return the favor," I responded.

During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation - nothing extraordinary, but
catching up on recent events of each other's life. We talked so much that we missed
the movie.

As we arrived at her house later, she said, "I'll go out with you again, but only
if you let me invite you." I agreed.

"How was your dinner date?" asked my wife when I got home. "Very nice. Much more
so than I could have imagined," I answered.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly
that I could not do anything for her. Some time later, I received an envelope with
a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined.

An attached note said: "I paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I could
be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for
your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me. I love you, my son."

At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time:

"I LOVE YOU!" color="#333333" face="Verdana" size="1"> and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve.

Moral of the Story:

Nothing in life is more important than God
and your family. Give them the time
they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till

"
some other time. face="Verdana" size="1">" color="blue" face="Verdana" size="1">

Pass this along to someone with an aging parent, to a child, to an adult, to anyone
with a parent. Here's hoping today is better than yesterday.

--------------------

Your Lord has commanded that you not to worship (anyone) but Him, and that you be
kind to parents. Whether one or both of them reach old age in your life, neither
say to them a word of disrespect or “Uff” or “Ugh”, nor tease them. And speak to
them a generous and gracious word and in terms of honor.

Shab-e-Baraat Mubarak!!!

Assalaam-o-Alykum dosto, ns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" prefix="o" ?>

In the 15th night of Sha’baan,
Allah prepares the destiny for all people on Earth for the coming year. So it’s
sometimes called the Night of Emancipation (Lailat-ul-Bara'at i.e.

the night of Freedom from Hell fire color="navy" face="Bookman Old Style" size="2">).

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah
bin Amr {Razi Allaho Anho} that Hayat-un-Nabi {SalAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam} said:
color="navy" face="Bookman Old Style" size="2">

Allah looks with special attention towards His creation
on the fifteenth night of Sha'baan and forgives all His servants except two categories
of people, the person who harbors enmity(hatred) and a murderer.

{Imam Ahmad reports
this Hadith with a slightly weak chain of narrators-Targhib-wat-Tarhib}

Hazrat Usman bin Abil 'Aas {Razi
Allaho Anho} narrates that Hayat-un-Nabi {SalAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam} said:
color="navy" face="Bookman Old Style" size="2">

On the fifteenth night qf Sha'baan Allah's (special
mercy) descends to the nearest heavens. Thereafter, a proclaimer announces:" Is
there anyone who seeks forgiveness so that I may forgive him? Is there anyone who
desires anything so that I may grant his wishes? Allah thus fulfills the requests
of all except the adulteress and idolator.

{
size="2">Baihaqi
has reported this Hadith –Durr-e-Manthur Page 27 Vol.6}
color="navy" face="Bookman Old Style" size="2">

It was also reported on this subject
that `A’ishah, Mother of the Believers, said: The Hayat-un-Nabi {SalAllaho Alaihi
wa Sallam} offered the night vigil Prayer some night, and while he was praying,
he prostrated so long that I thought he had passed away, but he lifted his head
and finished the Prayer. Then He {SalAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam} said, “O `A’ishah
(or O Humaira [as he would call her]), have you thought that the Prophet {SalAllaho
Alaihi wa Sallam} would not give you your right?” I said, “No, by Allah, Allah’s
Messenger. But when you stayed prostrating so long, I thought you had passed away.”
Hazrat Muhammad {SalAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam} then said, “Do you know what night
this is?” I said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He {SalAllaho Alaihi wa Sallam}
said:

This is the 15th night of Sha`ban. Almighty Allah
turns towards His servants on the 15th of Sha`ban and forgives those who ask for
His forgiveness, grants mercy to those who ask for it, and delays (punishing or
bringing to account) the evil people.

style="font-size: 10pt; color: navy; font-style: italic; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'">
This hadith was reported by Al-Baihaqi on the authority of Al-`Ala’ ibn Al-Harith,
one of the successors (At-Tabi`un), which means that this hadith is mursal (reported
by a successor immediately on the authenticity of Mother of the Believers or the
Prophet himself without having a Companion in between in the chain of reporters).
Al-Baihaqi said this is a good mursal hadith.

All days and nights are significant
in the life of a Muslim, however, some days and nights have a special significance
from Allah {SWT}. Every Muslim should therefore value such events. Let us not be
deprived of the tremendous blessings of Allah {SWT} due to sheer negligence and
indifference.

Remember me in your prayers,

AmjaD
